Dehydrated minnows are not only a perfectly safe treat for our four-legged friends, they are also full of vitamins, minerals, and Omega-3 fatty acids that are essential to their diet. Our dehydrated minnows are single-ingredient treats and don’t contain gluten, grains, additional flavors or preservatives. Our minnows are small, on average 1-½” long, and dehydrated at 165 Fahrenheit for 24 hours to make sure they are properly dried out, bacteria free and safe for your dogs to consume without any choking hazards.
What makes Omega-3 Fatty Acids so Important?
There are three types of Omega 3s. They include EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), and Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA). Dogs specifically need EPA and DHA. Omega-3 fats are essential in cell membranes throughout the body and improve the function of cell receptors in those membranes. Well known for improving a dog’s skin and coat conditions, they also offer so much more! After 3-4 weeks of regular (and regulated) Omega-3 your dog’s inflammation, arthritis, dry skin, allergies, digestive problems, or anxiety will be alleviated. DHA, a component in Omega-3s, is also known to improve cognitive function and joint problems in older dogs. In puppies, they aid in the proper development of brain and eye development.
